I was born and raised in Baltimore City in the Northwood neighborhood,
the only daughter of William Gladstone Stone, Jr and Mary-Jane Wagner,
and older sister of Brian William.

The Baltimore that I grew up in in the '60s and '70s
is nothing like the Baltimore everyone knows and loves today.

There was no Oriole Park at Camden Yards or M&T Bank (Ravens) Stadium.
Memorial Stadium on 33rd Street, where the Colts and Orioles played, worked just fine for us,
even if planes flew into the stands now and again.

Fells Point was where the merchant ships docked and sailors drank with under-aged kids
and anything else that wandered into the skanky bars.
Now, Fells Point is THE place to be if you're a bistro owner like my former high school classmate,
Nancy Longo who owns the Pierpoint Restaurant.

I am proud to say that I originally hail from Baltimore
and below are some great links for anyone traveling there...
